Christmas 2011

 The Santa Gifts

Greg and I with help of our Grandpa D. bought the family a Wii this year.
Just Dance 3 was a must have for Sabrina!
(Mario Kart was a must have for Jacob and I!)
Daddy and Jacob in their matching monkey pants!
I finally got a new pair of boots :)

This year we mainly  took video of our Christmas unwrapping. So I am sorry to say I don't have still pictures for the grandparents and  apparently my blog won't let me post more than one video on this post. Bummer!  So here is a highlight of how excited Jacob was with each and every present. This gift was from our Secret Santa

We are so grateful to the grandparents, uncles and aunts, and friends that made this Christmas such a wonderful time. We are enjoying every minute of our time with the children in our new home. It is so much fun to see them delight in such little things! We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and want you to all know how much we missed you!

Christmas So Far

Today is the Eve of Christmas Eve and much to my dismay I am sending Sabrina to school! Seriously? I wish we had a holiday today. I am ready to play with my kids. Christmas will be here in two days and she still has to go to school. ( FYI  I am not posting as many pictures as I used to (or posting as many blog posts). Since the camera fell in the lake I just don't think the picture quality on the camera is as good and so I don 't like taking pictures. :(Too bad. Maybe I will break the old camera out of the closet for Christmas day and see if the pictures quality gets better. )

On to the partying! We had a few friends over for a festive party. We made spice gumdrop Christmas trees and mini gingerbread houses to decorate the tables with. No close up pictures but here is a slightly fuzzy table shot.

We played games and danced to Christmas songs.

On Sunday the kids wore there Christmas Clothes. They all looked so beautiful!

Candy Cane Kisses

The Jerusalem Supper
Last of all Cool Jacob eating his breakfast with his sun glasses on. He said the sunlight was too bright in the kitchen.  Sabrina will be home in 7 hours and then the partying can really begin! Merry Christmas everyone!

If you have ten minutes here is an excellent rendition of the Christmas Story to Enjoy. I love it!

I just love this new website and cannot wait for the rest of the videos to be released! There are also high quality pictures you can download! http://lds.org/bible-videos/videos?lang=eng

Thanksgiving Part 2

The Hunny Family was so sweet to take us in for our last day and a half.
We even got to celebrate Grandpa Hunny's Birthday!
We had a great time meeting all the new little cousins that have arrived since we were last in Heber.

They were all as sweet and adorable as I hoped they would be. They were all tolerable of their Aunt Misty staring or trying to hug them :) Love these kids!We took multiple pictures of us hanging out with all the cousins. It was just so wonderful to see everyone!

Christian got to know Jacob on a more intimate level as he attacked him with kisses and other such attacks while he was on the phone.

I am still not sure how I didn't get enough pictures of all the cousins! I thought I had everyone...but there are a few missing!  Another favorite moment of mine was how taken Sabrina was with Brinley! She just loved this little cutie!
We also got the pleasure of decorating Grandma Hunny's Christmas tree!
Pictures I wish I had taken...for starters Jacob laying in bed with Grandpa Hunny watching sponge bob and eating candy, and any of Grandma Hunny loving her littles. How do I not get one of my parents? That will be fixed soon. Even if they aren't published on the blog.

Our ride home was very uneventful. No snow. No wind. Just me reading The Hunger Games to Greg and the kids watching movies. Our hearts were full of happiness and once again we felt complete. We were finally able to spend time with those we love the very most. Thank you for reminding us of all we are thankful for. Family is the greatest. We miss you dearly but feel so blessed we got to visit your tropical paradise for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Part 1

Due to the most amazing weather Aberdeen has seen in years we decided to make a very quick visit home to see our dear families. We had 1 1/2 days with each family. It was fast, crazy, and fun! The drive was great. No snow either way and happy children. They couldn't wait to see their Grandparents. Jacob had a blast on the drive.  He loves to rock out to music.

He did not however enjoy the sun. When it was shining he was hiding under his favorite blanket.
I nearly cried when I saw this sign. It has been 23 months since we have been to Utah. Even if it was only for a few days I was so excited to see everyone.
After a brief stop in Heber to hug and love The Hunny Family we headed to The Francom's to spend thanksgiving.

Coming from Aberdeen Utah felt like a tropical paradise. The children (& Greg) ran around in the lawn with no shoes or socks on and spent a huge majority of the time outside playing. There is nothing like Utah grass!
They had so much fun getting reacquainted with everyone!

The kids also enjoyed making gingerbread houses and cookies with grandma!

The finally end to the Francom Party was taking Jacob to Chick-Fil-A to see if this boy still loved his chicken. Boy did he ever! I haven't seen Jacob eat this well since we moved from Georgia. He couldn't even talk during the meal except to say, "I eating chicken." When he was finally full he walked around showing off his belly full of chicken.
We are grateful to Aunt Angie for providing us with wonderful sleeping accommodations!

I wish we had pictures of all the good times but I suppose this will do for now! Not pictured but a favorite moment was Uncle Rob doing the Robot with/for Jacob.  Stay tuned tomorrow for pictures from our visit with the Hunny Family!
