Ice Skating!

One of my favorite things about Aberdeen is how family friendly and inexpensive most activities are. We went ice skating tonight and it cost 7 dollars including the skate rentals. LOVED IT!

The girls were awesome! They were scared to death at first but overcame it with some encouragement and assistance from the adults.

They quickly realized it didn't hurt to fall and became independent!

And of course there was Jacob. The smallest size skate was a size 12...so he had a bit of a trial with the shoes. He liked to drop his wait and skate by hanging on to us or being carried so we could "zoom" with him.

We also had great friends to help us along the way.

The next one is an awesome picture!
Just for kicks here is a small video of Clara the first time she skated by herself. By the end of the night she learned to glide a little better. After Clara falls if you watch in the background you see Sabrina loose her balance and then at the end of the video had a very painful looking wall check by Clara. It didn't hurt. Really!

Halloweenies

My little Halloweenies!

The Spanish Dancers!
The Super Jake!

(his secret powers consist of vanquishing zombies and witches to protect his princesses.)

Jacob insisted that the girls were not Spanish Dancers. They were indeed Spanish Princesses.
We had a fabulous Halloween. It is the first time my girls can remember trick or treating door to door.
They had a blast.
Here is the crew we trick or treated with!

Can you find the other super hero besides Jacob? She is a super hero and princess and in all pink.
Isn't she cute!
Clara was just so amazed that you could knock on a door, say trick or treat,
and someone would give you candy!

The kids loved it but as soon as they saw the car they collapsed told us they had enough candy and were ready to be done.

Happy Birthday Sweet Clara!

We recently celebrated Clara's 5th Birthday. Once again she wanted a Horse Party. This year Clara ended up sick just in time for her birthday and she celebrated with a 103 degree fever. Poor thing! We still had moments of feeling good. We started the celebration with a horse luncheon.

And of course opening Gifts!

Great minds think alike :) Grandma Francom bought Clara a stamp set, I bought Clara a different stamp set, and Grandma Hunny got Sabrina yet another stamp set! We have had a lot of fun stamping it up at our house! The more the better. We have made some amazing pictures.

Later in the evening we had cake and ice cream. Poor little Clara was so sick she didn't eat any cake or eat any of her birthday dinner! She tried so hard to sit at the table and have fun.

and yes. The horses are sinking at a funny angle. I don't cook the best when I am pregnant.

Jacob loved singing happy birthday to his Clara!
