Happy Birthday to My Greg!

Happy Birthday Daddy has been the phrase heard most frequently at home over the past two days. Greg arrived home from Virginia on Wednesday and the festivities began. The kids and I threw a surprise party for him complete with the four layer chocolate cake :) three layers of white chocolate frosting with a ganache topping. Oh Yum. What can I say? Chocolate is the best.

I love celebrating birthdays and the only thing more exciting than celebrating the kids birthdays is celebrating the birthday of my sweet husband. Greg is amazing, handsome and wonderful. Greg has somehow been able to balance his life in such a way that even though he is  currently one of the busiest people I know all none of us at home feel neglected. We are so thankful that you were able to be home for your birthday!

On to the festivities!

Blowing out the candles was quite a task.

We actually had to restrain Jacob so that Greg could blow out his own candles. I think I seriously had to light them ten times. Here is the token "blow" picture."

The pillow tie was a favorite present all around.

At one point it  did turn into a whacking stick...and had to be taken away.

Killer Bunnies rock our world...Greg kicked my butt last night. He had over 10 bunnies almost the entire game and I had one abducted bunny :(

The special unnamed surprise from an unspecified source...You know who you are and what it is. Thank you so very much. He never puts it down and when he does Sabrina, Clara or Jacob have it...Can I just say Talking Tom is so much cooler on a device that has a microphone! SWEET!
Happy Birthday Greg! You make my life complete. I am so blessed to be married to a man as wonderful as you are. We love you...even if you are an old fart.

Old fart? More like 'handsome old fart." :) Gotta love a pillow tie... I wonder why that idea hasn't taken off with a vengeance in UT!
