Warning. There are no pictures in this too long post. Just me. Rambling.
Well...my computer has been on the fritz again. It took me nearly two hours to post the last 2 posts. (or maybe longer) Drove me crazy. So I haven't been a good blogger. Yesterday I gave Greg my computer and told him to just delete everything and start all over. When I asked if there was anything I needed backed up I quickly told him I hated the stupid computer and to just delete everything. Well...if I had been thinking properly I would have backed up the photos I downloaded since the Geek Squad returned my computer. I lost all the photos from Greg's graduation, The Francom Grandparents, and The Hunny Family. Our last few weeks in Georgia and our first few weeks in Aberdeen! : ( What a loss! I am so happy I took the time to blog most of them. You just didn't get to see Sabrina on her first day of school...but take my word for it. She was BEAUTIFUL! On the bright side my computer is fixed. For real this time. Greg is a great doctor of PCs. I highly recommend him.
I have been contemplating moving. Greg and I have moved a lot in our married life. By the time Sabrina was 4 we had moved 5 times in 3 different states. It was too much. Georgia was a treat for us. We stayed in one ward long enough to see missionaries go and return! That was a first! So what do I think of moving? Plain and simply? It stinks! There are some positives. It is so nice to get to organize your house...get rid of junk...and figure out the puzzle of where everything will go. I like that. The paycheck will finally be "enough". I LOVE that Greg LOVES his new job! He smiles everyday as he leaves the house and is still smiling when he returns. (That is the most important thing). I enjoy our new house. It is big! The problem is leaving. Each time I move I have left such an amazing and supportive groups of friends that it is really difficult to adjust to a little bit of a lonely life when you arrive at your new location. The ward is always incredible and kind. I can't complain about that. It is just that it takes so much time to find your spot in your new life...and waiting for that sometimes is just hard.
Aberdeen is such a funny little town. I really do love it. It is small and friendly. We will probably use a tank of gas each month unless we decide to go somewhere...but where I am not sure. There are bunnies and squirrels that run from you when you walk down the streets. There are great parks and play places for the kids. The humidity is higher than Georgia and once you near the edge of town you can see as far as you want in all directions. Everytime Sabrina sees the edge of town she says something cute like, "We live in the middle of nowhere." Aberdeen has very unique tasting drinking water...another adjustment...especially for a pregnant woman. I am still purchasing water by the gallon while I try to adjust. My father bought me a filter for the sink and that is helping a little bit.
Northern State is also a delightful little school. We can see the campus from our upstairs windows. It is just 3 houses away. We went to our first football game yesterday and it was a BLAST. We loved every minute of it. The humorous part of the game was that the college football stadium is shared with the high school and there were less people in attendance than we had at our high school games growing up. The children LOVED it. They cheered for most of the game with great enthusiasm. Greg was invited to sit with the president in his "box" and that was enjoyable too. The President of the University is a great man. We were able to go to their home for dinner last week and had a great time.
Our house is so much bigger than we have ever had. 3 stories and room to put everything. I love the light in the upstairs bedrooms. So many windows. The kitchen is very small and washing dishes by hand is a little tiresome...I will adapt. Jacob is also very independent in using our "shorter" toilets here...I didn't know what a dirty bathroom was until he became independently potty trained...lets just say I mop a lot more. The basement is unfinished. It has one big room with a painted cement floor that all the kids toys are in. It is a fun room, the kids are still nervous to play in it. The remainder of the basement rooms have a dirt edge around the outer wall. That is different for me. I am adjusting to the smell that the older closets have. As my pregnancy progresses I am able to deal with it a little better. A few weeks ago I retched almost everytime I opened the coat closet! It is a very relaxing and quite place to be.
So sorry to fill an entire post with random text and thoughts. I wanted to put them in my little journal before I forgot them. Hopefully I will take advantage of the working computer and post pictures over the weekend of our first football game! It was so much fun. We miss you all so much! So much!

Update! Misty called to say she found her photos on the computer.
The house does smell like an older home (Grandpa and Grandma Day's basement on Denver St. in SLC) until you baked bread and made that uummy ganache covered chocolate cake for Sabrina's birthday. But it has such a nice atmosphere. It is roomy AND cozy.
oh, it sounds so wonderful. :)
you were so worried about finding a job, but i knew there was something great coming for your family. it sounds like it is even better than you ever hoped for.
YOU FOUND YOUR PHOTOS??? HOORAY!!!!
I hope you are so happy. Many loves.
I love 'Hunnygrams' comment. I'm so glad you found your pictures and have an excuse to be continually baking! :) I know you are loving the room you have in your house. But we sure miss you.
Well talk about adjustment central. Sounds like you're all doing pretty well, especially those cute kids. Hopefully you'll be all settled in and comfortable in your new world in no time!
