Ice Skating!

One of my favorite things about Aberdeen is how family friendly and inexpensive most activities are. We went ice skating tonight and it cost 7 dollars including the skate rentals. LOVED IT!

The girls were awesome! They were scared to death at first but overcame it with some encouragement and assistance from the adults.

They quickly realized it didn't hurt to fall and became independent!

And of course there was Jacob. The smallest size skate was a size 12...so he had a bit of a trial with the shoes. He liked to drop his wait and skate by hanging on to us or being carried so we could "zoom" with him.

We also had great friends to help us along the way.

The next one is an awesome picture!
Just for kicks here is a small video of Clara the first time she skated by herself. By the end of the night she learned to glide a little better. After Clara falls if you watch in the background you see Sabrina loose her balance and then at the end of the video had a very painful looking wall check by Clara. It didn't hurt. Really!
