Katherine at 4 Weeks

Katherine has had a lot of excitement the first four weeks of her life. She has already been to the Bismarck Temple, celebrated Easter, been fishing and attended the circus! She even went to Kohls and shopped while we were in Bismarck :)

She currently weighs 9.2 pounds and is starting to chunk  up in the face! She is still a calm and happy little baby and only wakes up once at night to eat. The only problem is that after that feeding in the wee hours of the morning she wants mother to snuggle her until morning. So I have turned into a bit of a Zombie the last few days...and this I am sure is exciting to Jacob. He loves Zombies.

All the kids just LOVE to hold Katherine.  (she frequently holds her hands next to her face like this! I just love it)

I don't think she spends much alone time unless she is sleeping. I discovered that the cause of her lack of day sleep was the little fingers attacking her head and moved her to the crib. Now she sleeps hours and hours during the day and is even happier during the day than she was before.

Katherine has adopted her little monkey...especially when hungry. She will suck on his face. 

Katherine saves nearly all her smiles (which started at 3 1/2 weeks) for her daddy. I have received one or two but any time Greg talks to her she gets all googly eyed and smiles. I am slightly annoyed by this! I should be rewarded with smiles! It is hard to catch a baby smile that looks good on camera...but here is my latest attempt.

She also has finally adopted a binky and will now be calmed by daddy too! I am super excited about this!
