Here is the front porch after the first wave of the storm taken from the window. Poor Uga. We received I think 6 inches when I took this picture. The total for Aberdeen was recorded at 13.5 inches.

So in South Dakota you shovel when it snows...and shovel again when it blows! Here are pictures of us clearing the walks on Sunday.
Here are pictures of what the walks looked like on Monday when we woke up. We only got an additional inch of snow Sunday after we cleared the walks. The second picture is the same location Greg was snow blowing above just from a different angle. Awesome isn't it!
Pictures don't do it justice. Can you see the depth of it on the snow blower?
Check out the height of my snow shovel. Isn't it awesome. Nearly up to the way to the handle and the shovel is in the snowbank not at road level. You can't even see the rock in the front yard!
It is so deep the kids struggle walking in it!I love Clara's purple hat poking out of the snow. She fell while walking!
Katherine even stayed out for a 1/2 hour and enjoyed it!
Here is a picture after the girls made it to the rock. It was quite the task!
My friend Suzanne sent me these pictures of the guys playing with their snow plows at her house. So much fun.
Greg also got to play in his truck as he and his friends went and cleared some walks. It wa Impressive. He can make it through the snowhills without a hesitation. I just have to say what a blessing this truck is! It makes us self reliant...which is another huge blessing.
Here is the mobile picture I took of the truck. It is a little blurry.

I think you, the children and Greg are having way too much fun in S. Dakota! Wish we had your weather or not. Nice truck.
