Here we are waiting for the shuttle before giong to the Mayo Clinic...What cute kids!
The Mayo Clinic is a pretty awesome place. The mission of providing top notch health care has been accomplished. They are amazing. The building is amazing. We sent the kids exploring and they came back totally appalled at finding a naked guy on the wall. In truth he isn't naked. He has a leaf. The artist (as with all the artwork at the mayo) has a story. He was a survivor of the Holocaust. His artwork is all over the mayo clinic.
Here is Alan giving us a fantastic tour!
Below is a picture of Clara and Greg enjoying an amazing window. Lol...they are so funny.
The Children's Clinic had beautiful ceilings.
The kids LOVED that they had drinking fountains for all sizes. There was a lot of intricate work. These are amazing doors. They are just beautiful. They close the doors when there is a reason for mourning. For example when an airplane crashed caring Mayo Doctors the doors where shut.
This is from inside the plummer building. I love the plummer building.
Here are a few shots of the library. It was beautiful. Alan described it as a Harry Potter type library. I would have to agree!
Just for kicks here is a great picture of the kids sleeping in the hotel. We had a great time but nights were welcome. It was a long time to be in a hotel when the weather was snowy. BOY WAS IT SNOWY! One night we had to push the car into the parking lot! We bought new tires the next day to avoid a repeat of that scenario!
