Life is Good in Aberdeen

Over thanksgiving my dear sister-in-law Angie took some family pictures for us. I just love them! Here is my favorite one.

If you wonder why I stopped posting it is simply because there is not much happening here. Life is just simply peaceful right now.  The calm before the storm perhaps. There is nothing to complain about and nothing super exciting to post about. The 6th coldest city in the US until 2 days ago has been experiencing above normal temperatures with below normal precipitation. We have been playing outside in temperatures in the 40's & 50's. I even wore short sleeves on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday returned to normal and we experienced about a 60 degree drop in temp. as the wind chill went to somewhere around -15.  Fun stuff. Hopefully we get a significant amount of white stuff soon! I really do want a  little bit of snow this winter....Maybe not 90 inches of snow but I wouldn't mind one or two inches!

Today the littles are painting to keep busy while  I post. Cute stuff.

Dr. Greg started teaching again this week. We do miss having him around 24-7 but I suppose too much family time can be detrimental to ones health.
Especially when it comes to time with these three crazy kids.
I love how well they have been playing together the past few weeks. They are just simply delightful. Here are a few funny kidisms that we have enjoyed lately:

Jacob informed me before bed that "There are Zombies, Monsters, and Jesus outside my bedroom winnow" followed the next night by "Mommy we are going to kiss on the lips, get married in the temple and play with the Zombies."  He is so excited that we are going to have a baby. He is pretty sure that the day the baby is born " Mommy will go to the hospital...Aberdeen will take the baby out...and then the baby will get to it its birthday cake! Yeah for birthday cake!" I could go on and on and on. Jacob is the best little boy. Fun fun and more fun.

Clara has been working hard at reading with mom and dad. She is doing pretty well and can read 10 of my favorite beginner books!  She is very ready for kindergarten next year but so worried about having friends at school. At home Clara has become Jacob's best friend. They play together almost all day everyday until Sabrina comes home. On days when I feel sick she even will get Jacob his mid morning snack.  Clara is enjoying her pre-dance class and is so funny to watch. Yesterday she spent most of the class pulling faces in the mirror while she was dancing. It was pretty comical.

Sabrina is doing well in school. She performs at grade level in all subjects. She is still performing 100% on all her spelling tests and works so hard at reading. She is at a 2.8 reading level and has informed me she loves to read. She is enjoying her ballet classes and is so graceful and beautiful that I just cannot take my eyes off her when she is dancing. Her teacher informed me a few weeks ago that she cannot believe this is Sabrina's first ballet class since she was 2. She is just a natural ballerina. So graceful and beautiful.

As for me...I am looking a bit like this...
Okay I wish I was looking like that. Add a few extra curves that don't need to be there, shorter hair and a few extra pounds and it is me. A few mornings ago I was getting ready for the day wearing a one of those skin tight undershirts when the girls walked into the bathroom. There jaws dropped and Clara said, "Wow! Mom! Your belly looks like a great big hill." Sabrina started laughing and said, "No, Mom it is a mountain. Don't worry though it is just the baby." So big fat momma is still here, still progressing nicely, and sad to report the morning sickness seems to be returning again. Oh well, only 9 weeks left and then hopefully we get to find out if this little bundle of love is a he or a she. I am certain that it is a girl. Greg is certain it is a boy. Either way I just can't wait to meet the little one.
