Easter was a few weeks ago and I am late. Life has changed a lot the last few months and it is so hard to sit and blog. I think it has to do with number four learning to walk. Katherine can destroy an entire room in the time it takes for me to get a blog post up. Easter was fun! We had a lot of discussions and talks about the true meaning of Easter. The kids really understood it this year. It is so fun to see them grow in the gospel. '
This year also marked a first for us. I took Sabrina shopping with me. I told her that she and I were going to be the Easter Bunny. She didn't really understand what I meant at first. All the kids snow boots broke the week before Easter so we were on a mission to find rainboots to help us until the snow melted. We had no idea that we were still going to be getting snow in the middle of April. After searching EVERY store in Aberdeen to see if we could find boots we finally found them 2 hours later at the last store. We found beautiful butterfly boots in Sabrina's side and just medium cute polka dot boots in Sabrina and Clara's size and monster boots in Jacob's size. Sabrina immediately fell in love with the butterfly boots. She wanted them so bad. I sat down with her and talked about how if the easter bunny brought her butterfly boots and Clara polka dot boots how would Clara feel? Sabrina immediately put the boots she wanted back on the shelf and got polka dot boots for herself. That is when it clicked. We bought the boots, walked out to the car and she said, "You mean your the Easter Bunny." I laughed and said, "This year we're the Easter Bunny...or the Jelly Bean Poopers. Whatever you want to call it." She got really excited. I thought she would be sad but she glowed for the next 48 hours about it.
So Easter morning the kids got their boots and yes...I let them wear their boots to church! I should have taken a picture of them all dressed in the Easter Clothes. They wore the dresses that Grandma Francom got them for Patrick's wedding....with rain boots. They had to get up and sing in Sacrament meeting and I got a lot of comments about the Francom kids wearing rain boots to church.
Katherine loved her basket. She devoured the candy very quickly.
I just had to put this picture in. Check out those funky flash eyes. Crazy!
Jacob thought this holiday was better than Christmas. It is all about Candy!
We had a fantastic Easter dinner with our Friends. It was a wonderful day. On Saturday we went to an Easter Egg toss... it wasn't a hunt...but a toss...my kids enjoyed the prizes but hated racing for eggs. Next year we will probably do our own hunt instead.
Here is a picture that Chelsea put on Facebook of the girls in the dresses. So pretty.
Happy Late Easter to everyone!

I love the boots. Wish you had photos of them ready for church. That must have been pretty funny to have them wearing them in the front of the chapel singing.
Sweet story about Sabrina and the Easter Bunny.
