Easter Sunday 2014

I always love Easter. It is such a wonderful time to remember all the gifts the savior has given to us. I love all the time I have with the children to dye eggs and talk about the symbolism behind it. I love teaching them what happened the week before Christ was resurrected. 
Decorating Eggs with Kate was hilarious. She thought we were giving her a special hot pink hot cocoa and was so mad when we wouldn't let her drink it. This girl knows how to throw a fit. She cried and cried until I got her a drink of milk and a snack to eat.

 She slowly got over it.

 But seemed a bit confused about the egg dipping.

 If you look at her fingers you can tell she didn't use the spoon. Finally I just got out paints and let her paint the eggs. It was...less messy...and I let her eat the eggs at the same time. Oh my spoiled little one.

I don't really like the easter baskets...but we do them anyway. This year the candy in them was my weakness. So much sugar.

 Loved the Easter Dresses. They were made by a friend in our ward that we have been able to assist a little bit. She is a refugee from Myanmar. Her sister in law made them. Jacob has a great looking vest but he didn't get it until later.

 The easter egg hunt...was delayed. Greg went to church at 8 am came home at 3 pm and then we went to dinner at a friend's house on Sunday until 9. We had soccer and other very busy activities. Soccer games...ballet meetings...and a trip to visit friends who live an hour a way. On Tuesday we did all sorts of fun stuff like fixing the water flooding the garage area and sidewalk. We built a trench and then filled it with 3/4 ton of rocks. So fun...yet tiring. You can see it in the picture above. After all the hard work was done we did a quick Easter Egg hunt around the yard.

 And that is it...Easter 2014.
