December!

December was the coldest month of my life. I was terrified of the forecast...but after shoveling snow I realized it was okay. We even bundled up and went sledding. Cold is cold. Once you are below zero you just add layers and stay out a shorter period of time...More pictures later in the post...

I love getting ready for Christmas. Here are my girls making some cute little gifts with m
 Our Tree!

 Gingerbread houses!

 Katherine dressed herself!
Preparing to make the LONG walk to school in -20 weather.

 Me & My sweetheart!
 Program Day!

Jacob had his first piano recital. It was at the mall and scared him to death!

 Waiting for it to start....
 After it was over......
 During it...
Katherine really wanted to see Santa this year. Greg and I took her and she was so shy and quiet and scared. It was really sweet. She asked for my little ponies.
This year we went down Christmas tree lane. I found that so many of the trees reminded me of those that are not with us. This was my Tina tree.

The Christmas dolls made me think of Grandma!

Sabrina was inspired by Kate sitting on Santa and threw a lego party for all the children's legos. Here was my favorite part, "Pictures with Santa!"

Sabrina rocked her first Honor's orchestra concert. Here she is before we left. She also made it into All State Orchestra this year. She is a second violin. She was number 27 out of all the auditions in South Dakota for violin. There were hundreds of entries so it is a really good to even have made it. 4 violin players in Aberdeen made it and no cellos.

 Snow Snow! Beautiful Snow!

Cutest Kettle bell ringers in South Dakota!

Shoveling snow at extremely cold temperatures leaves ice everywhere...can you see it on the eyelashes? I pulled my hat off after getting a little sweaty and my hair froze straight up in the air. I tried to take a picture but my hair melted when I went inside to get my phone.

Kate's frozen hair after a few minutes sledding~ I had to force her to get into the car. It was frigid.
Due to weather we were unable to make it to Christmas at the capital and instead made gingerbread cookies.

Words cannot describe my special Sabrina! Check out that hair!

And..one more Christmas concert....Kids had a hard time sitting through this one...

Lucky for me Jacob found his happy and entertained me with his hilarious personality.
Catch up time is over...hopefully I do better keeping up on the blog in the future...
