This day we spent at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. It was completely Free & 100% AWESOME! The zoo was fun. It had giraffes, gorillas, zebras, lions, and many other wonderful selections. We enjoyed it so much we forgot to take any pictures. I loved the Conservatory especially. Every cold place should have one. I think flowers are therapeutic to long cold winters. Maybe Greg and I can build one in our side yard ;) A Very small one.
Next we went to St. Paul's Cathedral. It is the third largest Cathedral in America. It was really cool. It lacked pictures of Christ but I suppose most Cathedrals do. It was interesting to talk to the kids about the differences of Mormons and Catholics. The kids really understand our gospel and see how what we do just makes sense. It was nice to see their testimonies of the truths that we believe in.
It was huge. Greg and kids are standing by the door on the left.
Greg liked this window the best. It was a good opportunity to talk about who holds the keys to the priesthood in our church and how they are living people.
In the basement of the cathedral they have a replica made of legos. Cool!
We were so tired of the activities of the first half of the day we had to sleep in the car for awhile before we could continue. Greg drove us to our beautiful temple and we took a cat nap. It was closed for cleaning so we didn't get to do a session. After spending so much time at the Cathedral it was nice to see our temple and think of how sacred it is inside.
As if that wasn't enough we headed out to the Minneapolis museum of art. It was 2 gigantic floors of art displays. Once again it was completely free to the public. Target's first store was built in Minneapolis and as a thank you they completely fund the art museum. It was an interesting experience with little ones. Katherine only set off one alarm :)
I had photo bombers that kept jumping in the picture! Funny kids. The dog was Greg's favorite part of the museum.
After this...we went home...ate dinner...and CrAshEd. We found ourselves too tired to even swim.
