Happy Birthday to Kate! The Big 2.

Katherine turned two. She had a Minnie Mouse Birthday.

 We took a few pictures on the porch to celebrate being two...it was a very serious experience.

 She lightened up after a few minutes.

 Soon a dog came running past and she actually smiled.

 We had her favorite foods for dinner. Raspberry jello, spaghetti, breadsticks and skittles. After dinner we opened presents.

 and then we played and played and played with our new toys.

 Birthday cake time was very exciting! I think she was excited to be the princess for a day.

 She blew out the candles so elegantly that I couldn't get the classic blow out the candles shot.

 Then she sat on her bike for the remainder of the evening!

 and occasionally changed her outfit so she could try on all the different ones she got today.

Happy Birthday Katherine. You truly are the princess of the family we love you. Some special things about Kate at age 2. She loves reading, princess books and Minnie Mouse are her favorite. She loves beheading legos. I think she does this more than any other activity. She loves her Grandmas. We talk about her "Boncas" all the time. Kate has a large vocabulary and frequently surprises us all with funny sentences. One example was last week at dinner one of her princesses was sitting next to me at the table. She looked at me and said in the sweetest voice ever, "Mom, Please pass the princess. I want her." Katherine is a joker. She already can tell a joke and make us laugh. Katherine loves to pray. She prays many times throughout the day. Most of her prayers are for Mommy and Jacob.
