Eight is Great!
August 18, 2012 was such a sweet day at our household. My oldest Daughter Sabrina decided she was ready to be baptized. On her birthday! There was nothing sweeter than watching my dear husband baptize her.
Sabrina kept her little sense of humor going all day and as soon as she got in her baptismal jumper began bringing out the karate moves.
What an exceptional spirit Sabrina has. Today I was reminded of all the peace and joy this lovely girl has brought to our home. She is a peacemaker. She is quietly helpful. At the small age of eight she already understands what it means to become be a child of God and strives each day to live as he would have her live.
During the baptism Sabrina listened to each talk given and remembered all that she was taught. She loved her little plaque that Grandpa gave her about how the holy ghost can guide her in her life.
As I watch her grow and develop spiritual strength I am just filled with awe that Heavenly Father would trust me with such a sweet spirit.
It is my prayer that I can be a mother worthy of such a girl and that I can teach her what she needs to know to grow up to be a happy and strong daughter of God.
We were able to get a few shots of our family with Sabrina on her special day!
We were also blessed to have all our grandparents here with us! It was just a wonderful weekend! Here is a pic of Grandpa & Grandma Francom.
Hopefully I will have more time today to post some of our adventures over the last few weeks! Until then here is a link on Mormon baptisms if your curious http://mormon.org/faq/topic/baptism & The Holy Ghost http://mormon.org/faq/topic/holy-ghost.
