Graveyard of Lake Superior & Tahquamenon falls

Our first full day on the UP was a very rainy and cold day. We decided to start out visiting a The shipwreck museum. It is located in a spot called the Graveyard of Lake Superior due to the many lives lost in the treacherous waters (during storms).
The kids loved the old fashioned diving suits. They looked creepy to me.

Jacob's favorite was the Newt Suit.
Katherine loved walking through the museum with Grandma and made her explain a lot of the exhibits. She really understood it and later took me through the museum to show me everything she remembered.
IT WAS SO COLD! We didn't do much more than take a peak at lake superior the first day. It was just freezing.
A Lego model of The Edmund Fitzgerald. Everyone on this ship died in a horrible storm.

Tahquamenon falls was gorgeous! The water in the river was brown from the roots of the trees that grow around the area.
