Our first view of the great lakes was a wonderful break. All that driving and we needed to be reminded that we were going somewhere awesome.
Our drive took much longer than we anticipated and to all the children's dismay we needed to stop for dinner on the way. We found a great place to eat called Big Boy.
As you can tell they were all thrilled.
After many many hours we arrived at our destination. The kids were so excited to arrive and we were exhausted. It was fun to be able to stay in such a beautiful place. We had our moments where we missed internet and phone service but it provided a wonderful break from day to day life.
Some of my favorite picture moments from the vacation were G & G's selfies.
Pasties...they weren't my favorite but at an end of a long day it was nice to have some warm Upper Peninsula food.
Here are a few photos that are just random events that occurred throughout the trip. The first is kate writing her name on an old school slate.
Jacob brought his chinese hat. He looked like a cute little communist in it....eating ice cream.
These two little kids got along the entire time. They shared a bedroom and were so sweet with each other.
On the way home from our long long trip Jacob pulled out his tooth! First one for him.
