Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

Everyday was a favorite day. Our second full day in the UP was spent at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We of course saw a few more waterfalls, enjoyed searching for flowers, and ended with a wonderful boat tour of Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

It was nice to have a day warm enough to enjoy the water. Kate really enjoyed it and ended up wet to her waist! The water was so cold I couldn't do more than dip my feet in it.

The picture below is a top view of where we went on the boat tour. It was breathtaking.
There is the boat we went on.
 Ready to go!

I loved the old lighthouse. It was on an island in Lake Superior so we never got closer than this.
This was our favorite place on the 3 hour boat tour. Kate fell right asleep and slept in Daddy and Grandpa's arms the entire ride!!!
It was just beautiful!

The tree in the rock below is awesome. It is on a rock outcrop with no way to get nutrition...the tree roots actually go through the gap between the two rocks were they can get nutrition for the tree.

about 2 hours into the ride disaster hit...Jacob and Clara just couldn't take the rocking of the boat and had to enjoy a little one on one time with me and the barf bag and the funny lady behind us.
Clara actually never threw up. She tried so hard to fight it and succeeded.
 Cheers to better times...and sprite.
